Introducing Melbourne Chiropractor Dr. Steve Lockstone
At 17 years of age Dr. Lockstone experienced an aggressive growth spurt. This left him with severe back pain and sciatica. Dr. Lockstone parents took him to see a chiropractor who was able to help. In fact the results were so great that from that point on Dr. Lockstone set his sights on becoming a chiropractor.

I always knew that I wanted to do something in health care. I always got such gratification from helping people, and I was leaning towards medicine, but after having such a great experience with chiropractic care, the choice was obvious, says Dr. Lockstone.
Dr. Lockstone began his chiropractic education, in his home town of Johannesburg, South Africa at the University of Witwatersrand. After immigrating with his family to Melbourne in 1996, he continued his studies at the RMIT University in Bundoora. There he studied professional courses with an emphasis on the science courses such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with applied human physiology and anatomy courses, x-ray, diagnosis, biomechanics, pathology, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care. After 5 years full time study Dr. Lockstone graduated with a double degree and was now a Doctor of Chiropractic.
"Each year, continues Dr. Lockstone, the staff and I attend various seminars to keep up with the latest in research and newest developments in the chiropractic profession. That keeps our skills in top form.
Dr. Lockstone has helped thousands of Melbourne area residents regain their health since opening his Malvern East practice in 2001.
